General Questions.
company, scheduling, and basicsMark Dungan founded Dun-Rite Seamless Gutters in 1996. We've been Mississippi's seamless gutter specialist for 30 years, working with homeowners, builders, and commercial property managers across the greater Jackson area.
Yes — we're a Mississippi-licensed corporation with full Workers' Compensation and General Liability insurance. We carry COIs (certificates of insurance) for builder partners and provide proof of insurance on request.
Yes, every estimate is free with no obligation. We measure your roofline on-site, evaluate water-flow needs, recommend the right gutter system in writing, and give you time to decide. No high-pressure sales tactics.
Call (601) 750-1800 or submit our contact form. Most estimates are scheduled within 48 hours of your first contact. We'll arrive at the agreed time, walk your property, and provide a written quote on the spot or within 24 hours.
Our office hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. We don't typically schedule new installations on weekends, but we do respond to storm-damage emergencies and active-leak situations outside business hours when possible.

Pricing Questions.
what things actually costMost Mississippi homes run $1,200–$3,500 for a complete seamless aluminum gutter system, depending on linear footage, number of stories, and downspout count. Copper gutters typically start at $25–$40 per linear foot installed. We provide free written estimates after measuring on-site.
Copper installations typically run $25–$40 per linear foot installed, depending on profile, complexity, and decorative elements. A typical 200-linear-foot copper installation runs $5,000–$8,000. The premium pays off — copper gutters last 50+ years versus 20–30 for aluminum.
Most Mississippi homes run $150–$300 per cleaning. Larger homes, multi-story properties, and homes with heavy tree coverage may run higher. We offer recurring service plans (twice-yearly or quarterly) at discounted rates compared to single visits.
Mesh and screen guard systems run $7–$12 per linear foot installed. A typical 150-foot home runs $1,000–$1,800 for full guard coverage. Guards reduce your gutter cleaning frequency from twice yearly to once every 3–5 years.
No travel fees within our 14-city Mississippi service area regardless of distance from our Madison HQ. The estimate you receive is the price you pay — no fuel surcharges, no trip charges.
We don't offer in-house financing, but we accept all major credit cards. Most homeowners find that gutter projects fit within their HELOC or home improvement budget without separate financing. Larger commercial projects use standard contractor billing terms.
Process Questions.
what installation actually looks likeMost single-story homes are completed in a single day. Two-story homes or complex rooflines may take 1–2 days. We schedule installations to start by 8 AM and typically finish before 5 PM.
A Dun-Rite team member walks your roofline (interior measurements not needed), evaluates fascia condition, identifies water-flow concerns, photographs problem areas, and provides a written quote covering linear footage, materials, color/profile selection, downspout placement, and warranty terms.
Yes. Removal and disposal of existing gutters is included in every installation quote. We haul away all old materials so your property is clean when we leave.
Move vehicles out of the driveway near the work area. Trim back any branches that block roofline access. If you have specific landscaping you want protected, mark it or note it in your quote. We handle everything else — drop cloths, debris cleanup, and final inspection.
We watch the forecast and reschedule if heavy rain is predicted. Light drizzle is typically fine for installation work, but lightning, sustained heavy rain, or high winds will push the install to the next available day. Rescheduling is easy and free.
Yes. We have ongoing relationships with multiple Mississippi builders and architects, especially for new construction, custom homes, and commercial projects. We work to your builder's schedule, provide additional-insured COIs, and bill via standard contractor terms.
Materials Questions.
what we install and whyWe use .032 gauge aluminum standard — heavier than the .027 gauge sold at home improvement stores. This thicker profile resists denting from ladders, hail, and falling debris.
5-inch is the residential standard for most Mississippi homes. 6-inch is high-flow — handles 50% more water volume and is recommended for homes with steep rooflines, large roof footprints, or heavy regional rainfall. Most Madison and Reservoir-area new construction uses 6-inch.
We stock 25+ baked-enamel colors including white, almond, cream, classic bronze, charcoal, brown, and forest green. Custom color matching is available for specific home palettes. We bring color samples to every estimate.
Properly installed .032 gauge aluminum lasts 20–30 years in Mississippi's climate. Hot summers and humid winters don't shorten lifespan. UV exposure can fade certain colors over decades, but baked-enamel finishes hold color exceptionally well.
Yes — that's the protective patina. Year 1: bright copper. Years 2–3: bronzing. Years 5–7: brown patina. Years 10–15: classic verdigris green. The patina is the protective layer and shouldn't be cleaned off.
25-year manufacturer warranty on materials. 2-year warranty on our labor. We register every installation with the manufacturer and provide warranty paperwork at job completion.
Service Areas Questions.
where we workWe serve 14 Mississippi cities from our Madison HQ: Madison, Jackson, Brandon, Flowood, Ridgeland, Clinton, Canton, Pearl, Gluckstadt, Florence, Richland, Bolton, Terry, and Raymond. Roughly a 30-mile radius from Madison in every direction.
Outside our standard service area, we evaluate special requests case-by-case — call (601) 750-1800 to ask. Distance, project scope, and current schedule all factor in.
Most cities in our service area can be scheduled for an estimate within 48 hours. Standard installations begin within 1–2 weeks of signed estimate, depending on material lead times. Madison and the cities closest to our HQ (Ridgeland, Gluckstadt, Canton) often get same-day or next-day estimate windows.
For larger commercial projects (multi-building complexes, commercial subdivisions), we travel further than our standard 30-mile residential radius. Call us to discuss commercial scope, schedule, and pricing — we've worked across central Mississippi and beyond on commercial work.
Yes. Madison is our HQ, and we maintain priority scheduling for Madison residents whenever possible. Same-day or next-day estimates are common for Madison addresses.
Yes — new construction is a significant portion of our work in Reunion, Lake Caroline, Castlewoods, Bridgewater, and the newer subdivisions in Gluckstadt and Brandon. We work directly with builders on phased installs synchronized to construction schedule.
